Velstone shines in cutting-edge pathology lab

When Klick Technology needed the perfect bespoke solid surface for a pathology laboratory design brief, they knew exactly who to turn to – Velstone.
Known for its smooth, non-porous nature and resistance to bacterial growth, Velstone was the most suitable for the laboratory worktops. Velstone were also able to provide a continuous seam free surface with coved upstand, ideal for a sterile environment, preventing the accumulation of dust or dirt.
Klick Technology’s decision to partner with Velstone was driven by the material’s proven track record in healthcare environments. The coving was fabricated as a seamless part of the worktop while Velstone’s solid surface was perfect for the requirement of bespoke, oversize stainless-steel sinks with rinse facilities. Velstone vertical splash guards were included on each side of the sinks, to minimise splashing onto the worksurfaces.
