1987
Factory set up in Goa
1991
The Velstone story begins, with an Irish factory commencing production, exporting to the UK, UAE and Saudi Arabia.
1993-1994
Sales offices open in Colchester, UK, and West Lake in California, with export to Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand commencing.
2000
Sameer Sawant, current Director, joins Velstone on a part-time basis whilst studying at Essex University.
2003
World’s first continuous casting line incorporating adjustable sizes.
2004
Velstone launches 25mm thick material specifically targeted for use as
Laboratory worktops in Schools/Colleges and Research Labs.
2005
Velstone launches project services to supply factory finish ready-to-install tops in 13mm and 25mm thickness.
2008-2012
Production base moves from Ireland to Singapore, before moving again, this time to mainland China.
2012
Sameer Sawant becomes the youngest ever Director of the company.
2012-present
